Nvidia’s Project Digits, revealed at CES 2025, is a personal AI supercomputer for researchers and students. Powered by the Grace Blackwell Superchip, it delivers up to 200 billion parameters for AI model training, priced at $3,000.

At CES 2025, Nvidia revealed Project Digits, a groundbreaking “desktop AI powerhouse” crafted to enable AI development and research from your workspace. This innovative system, built on Nvidia’s Grace Blackwell hardware architecture, delivers comprehensive access to Nvidia’s AI ecosystem in a space-efficient, desktop-optimized design.

During the announcement, Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s CEO, emphasized Project Digits’ dual functionality as both a desktop-based cloud computing system and high-performance workstation. Targeting AI researchers, data scientists, and academic users, Project Digits integrates Nvidia’s latest GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, providing performance capabilities reaching one petaflop for developing, optimizing, and deploying sophisticated AI models.

The system combines Nvidia’s Blackwell GPU with a 20-core Nvidia Grace CPU, incorporating 128GB of memory and up to 4TB of flash storage. It supports AI models containing up to 200 billion parameters, addressing advanced AI computing requirements. The platform allows interconnection of multiple Project Digits units to process larger models spanning up to 405 billion parameters.

Launching in May 2025, Project Digits will retail at $3,000 and operate on Nvidia’s Linux-based DGX OS. Though not positioned for casual users, Nvidia sees significant demand among professionals and academics. Jensen Huang remarked, “Project Digits delivers supercomputing capabilities to millions of developers’ desks, enabling them to lead the AI revolution.”

This development represents a crucial milestone in democratizing advanced AI capabilities, facilitating broader access to high-performance computing resources for AI innovation.
